WOLFPACK/KAMLOOPS HEAT TEAM UP FOR SECOND YEAR April 7, 2009 Kamloops, BC - For the second year in a row, the Kamloops Heat Under 21 Reserve Women's soccer team will be aligned with the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Women's soccer program. The Heat will act as the 'off season' training program for the WolfPack Women's team. Current WolfPack Head Coach Tom McManus will co-coach the team along with his predecessor with TRU, Eric Schweizer. Glen Archer and Kelly Shantz, who are remaining with the TRU program, will also coach the Heat squad. David Lloyd and Errol Wild acted as the Heat's General Manager's last season and have returned to the role for 2009. The Heat will play out of the Pacific Coast Soccer League's Reserve Division. They open league play May 10 th in South Surrey against the Semiahmoo SC. Last season, the Heat finished one point out of first place with a record of 10 and 4. The Heat play their first preseason match Tuesday night (April 7) at Hillside Stadium against the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association U-18 Rep Team. Kick off is 9 pm.
