Premiers Look to Ground Eagles on Tuesday - The 2008 season gets under way for the Xtreme Premier side on Tuesday May 13 at Charles Best. The Xtreme will be hosting the North Shore Eagles, who opened their season with a 1-0 away win against Kelowna United. The Eagles are expected to be one of the more improved sides this year, thanks in large part to their association with the highly successful North Shore Girls and Capilano College programs. Tuesday's match kicks off at 7:30pm

The Tri-Cities Xtreme Reserves opened their PCSL Under-21 campaign with a  convincing 6-0 romp over Semiahmoo, Saturday afternoon at Charles Best Field. The Xtreme were clearly on their game right from the opening whistle, and kept the pressure on their opponents the entire game.

The Xtreme took just minutes to open the scoring when Stephanie Russo (Coquitlam) converted her own rebound after the keeper made the initial save on a clear breakaway. The Xtreme looked to be well on their way, and had they converted some of their golden chances, they could have put the game out of reach before half. However, their finish was lacking in the first half, and the Semiahmoo was able to hold the Xtreme to the single first half marker and a tenable 1-0 lead.

In the second half, however, the Xtreme found that missing touch and converted the majority of their chances, running out five more tallies before the match came to an end. U16 striker Kaila Henly (Coquitlam) led the way with a pair of markers. Premier player Lauren Lachlan (Port Moody), who joined the Reserves on this day to help fill some of the voids in the lineup created by injuries, scored on a well taken shot from in close. Also adding singles were Ashley Stuart (Port Moody), and Anna Brancati (Coquitlam) with a converted penalty.
